Prime Minister Ion Chicu planned a meeting with district heads for December 10. The mayors of Chisinau and Balti were also invited to the meeting that will center on the mechanisms of cooperation between the central and local public authorities, IPN reports.
“As a result of the local elections, most of the district heads were replaced. That’s why we aim to work in a team with the representatives of the local public authorities,” Premier Chicu said after meeting with the President and Parliament Speaker.
He also said that after he was appointed three weeks ago, he travelled to six districts. The ministers will also travel weekly to districts. Asked if the field Cabinet meetings will be resumed, Ion Chicu stated that this will be decided with district heads, but such meetings should not be held on a weekly or a monthly basis.
