The Transnistrian authorities announced that the prices of a number of drugs will be lower as of January 15, 2018, IPN reports.

According to the local press, fixed prices were set for about 100 names of drugs that were included in the list of most used medicines. On average, the drugs will be by 10% cheaper. The prices of some of the drugs will decline by even one third. For example, ciprofloxacin will be by 27% cheaper, omeprazole by 7-9%, indapamidum by 30%. The list of medicines with the new prices will be made public.

The decision by the Transnistrian authorities comes amid multiple complaints from people, who said that the same drugs are sold at different prices in drugstores. The prices of some of the drugs increased significantly in the course of last year.
