Fuel prices go up further. A liter of gasoline “95” on Thursday will cost 24.73 lei, up 0.20 lei. A liter of gasoline will be by 0.25 lei higher and will be sold for 21.51 lei. These are the price ceilings set by the National Agency for Energy Regulation, IPN reports.
For comparison, a liter of gasoline “95” at the start of last September cost 20.23 lei, while a liter of diesel fuel –16.42 lei.
According to the National Agency for Energy Regulation, the increase in fuel prices continues to generate a rise in the highest selling prices of gasoline and diesel fuel.
“During the March 1 session, the price of Brent oil rose by 11% and this made the international community to release the strategic oil reserves of the International Energy Agency. The Platts quotations that show the prices of oil derivatives the last two days alone grew by 77$ per tonne of gasoline and by 113 $ per tonne of diesel fuel,” the Agency noted in a press release.
The price of liquefied petroleum gas will increase to 13.95 lei.
