Prices in industry remain unchanged for second consecutive month

The prices in industry in October remained at the same level as in September. Compared with December 2008, the industrial price index fell by 0.5%, while compared with October 2008 – by 3.2%, Info-Prim Neo reports, quoting the National Bureau of Statistics. The prices in extractive industry last month decreased by 5.9% from December 2008, by 7.4% from October 2008, and by 0.6% from a month before. In the processing industry, the prices dropped by 0.5% from December last year and by 3.4% from October last year, but remained unchanged compared with September this year. The prices in the energy sector remained at the same level as in December 2008 and September 2009, but rose by 1.1% from October 2008.
