Price to apples and cucumbers increased, and to onion decreased

In the period 20-24 March, the average weekly price to cucumbers increased with 6.2%, of the apples with 1.6%, and the onion decreased with 4.7%. According to analysis made by the National Federation AGROInform within the Program „Alliance for supporting agricultural market”, last week the price to apples varied between 7.3 lei/kg and 7.4 lei/kg, increasing with 1.6%. The cheapest apples last week were sold on the market of Edinet at a price of 5.0 lei/kg, and the most expensive – in Cahul, at a price 9.8 lei/kg. In the same period, the price to cucumbers increased with 6.2%, from 25.5 lei/kg to 27.0 lei/kg. The average minimum weekly price to cucumbers on the markets of the republic was registered in towns Cahul and Edinet – 24.0 lei/kg. The most expensive in this period the cucumbers were sold in Causeni at the price 30.8 lei/kg. In the same time, the average weekly price of onion on those five monitored markets of republic reduced with 4.7%, varying between 4.3 lei/kg and 4.1 lei/kg. The average minimum weekly price to onion on the internal price was registered in Edinet (3.5 lei/kg), and the maximum – on the markets of Chisinau (4.4 lei/kg). According to the survey, the prices to these goods are higher abroad, the survey presenting the prices in Iasi, Odessa and Saint Petersburg.
