Price of liquefied gas and diesel oil drops

The Moldovan gas stations displayed lower prices on diesel oil and liquefied gas on Monday, February 2. Diesel oil costs 30 bani less - 9.98 lei per liter. The price of a liter of liquefied gas slumped 90 bani - 4.5 lei per liter, Info-Prim Neo reports. According to executive director of the Moldovan Oil Importers Union Victor Ghitu, the drop of the price on the local market was possible due to the cheapening on the markets Moldova imports fuel from. Another reason is the big stocks of imported liquefied gas which significantly exceed the demand. Reducing gasoline prices is not possible because of the stable quotations of this kind of fuel, and also because starting from January 13, the gasoline is imported with excises raised 50%, and this favors a profitableness lower than 10%, Victor Ghitu added.
