The National Confederation of Trade Unions of Moldova suggests laying down common principles on the formation of prices and tariffs and on the state control over them. A relevant legislative initiative of the trade unions will be submitted to the Government and the National Commission for Collective Consultations and Negotiations and the employers for consideration next week, Info-Prim Neo reports. “We consider that some of the economic entities work in non-transparent conditions. We see only the final price, but do not know how it is formed, what it includes and what the cost price is. This way, we put inflated prices on the people’s shoulders. Many countries have such a law and Moldova should also find a place for it,” said the Confederation’s chairman Oleg Budza. According to him, the policies concerning the people’s incomes are not correlated with the prices of the main products and services and this leads to further impoverishment. Moldova needs a law that would specify a clear mechanism for regulating the prices and tariffs, said Oleg Budza. The bill was drafted taking into account the experience of other states.
