The pensioners by the end of this year will receive a lump sum in support in addition to the 700 lei provided on the occasion of the winter holidays, President Igor Dodon stated, answering the pensioners’ question about the assistance promised on Easter. In a new edition of the program “President Responds”, Igor Dodon said the state budget will be amended the next few weeks and a decision as to the assistance will be taken later, IPN reports.
“As we promised earlier, the additional support for pensioners will be allocated. By now, the state fully honored its obligations related to salaries, pensions,” said President Dodon.
The pensioners received by 600 lei on Christmas and Easter at the time of the Democratic governments. After the political conjuncture changed, the government offered 700 lei to the pensioners on the occasion of the winter holidays, not yet on Easter.
