President to meet Moldovan diaspora in Belgium

President Nicolae Timofti will have a meeting with the Moldovan diaspora in Belgium in the evening of April 26. The meetings with Brussels officials will take place in the first half of April 27. The information was confirmed for Info-Prim Neo by the President’s spokesman Vlad Turcanu. While in Brussels, the head of state will meet with the President of the European Commission Jose Manuel Durão Barroso, President of the European Council Herman Van Rompuy, and Commissioner for Enlargement and European Neighborhood Policy Stefan Fule. The visit to Brussels is the first official visit paid by Nicolae Timofti abroad since his investiture. The Moldovan delegation includes a representative of the Foreign Affairs Ministry, Moldova’s Ambassador to the EU, the secretary general of the President’s apparatus and the President’s consultant on communication. In the evening of April 27, the head of state will hold a press briefing at the Chisinau International Airport.
