President Timofti to accept or reject Octavian Ticu for post of minister

Prime Minister Vlad Filat suggested President Nicolae Timofti to name Octavian Ticu as Minister of Youth and Sport, Info-Prim Neo reports, quoting a communiqué from the Government. Octavian Ticu, 40, has a bachelor of history degree from “Al. I. Cuza” University based in Iasi, Romania. He is an expert in political analysis at the Institute for Development and Social Initiative “Viitorul” and the chair of the Department of International Relations and Politology of the Free International University of Moldova. Octavian Ticu is the author of a monograph, 27 scientific articles, and over 20 press articles centering on history, political sciences, and international relations. Octavian Ticu has been boxing champion of Moldova for seven times. He was also awarded at 23 international competitions. The post of Minister of Youth and Sport fell vacant after Ion Cebanu offered his resignation.
