President Nicolae Timofti issued a decree whereby Aliona Miron, Lilian Trocin, Elvira Popa, and Dorin Munteanu are named as judges, IPN reports.

According to a communiqué from the presidential press service, the head of state had discussions with the judges, saying that he wants the justice sector reform to be successfully completed during his tenure. He underlined that he will not tolerate deviations from the Deontological Code of the Judge, while those who will commit violations will be punished harshly.

Nicolae Timofti sent back the file of Dan Dubcovetski, who was proposed for the post of judge at the Slobozia Court, to the Supreme Council of Magistrates for reconsideration. He requested examining his previous activity as prosecutor and judge, arguing that the information provided by the state special services show Dan Dubcovetski violated the legislation and the Deontological Code of the Judge in his career.
