Moldova’s position on the markets of the European Union is very weak and although within half a year, the agreement with the European Union on the asymmetric trade preferences is planned to be signed, this does not guarantee that the Moldovan products will be bought in unlimited amounts, President Voronin told the Business Forum “State and Business Environment” held in Chisinau on Thursday, April 26.
According to the head of the state, this agreement will create certain conditions, but the rest depends on the real sector. Voronin mentioned that Parliament will examine on Friday, April 27 the three initiatives on the capital amnesty, fiscal amnesty and amendment of the tax system of the beneficiary, which are also directed toward stimulating the actions of the economic agents with a view to increasing the competitiveness of the Moldovan export. “We will do our best to make the effect as good as possible: we will continue to improve the judicial system, to eliminate the bureaucratic obstacles in what concerns the investment procedures etc.”, Voronin said.
Another important problem that the president Voronin asked everyone to pay attention to is identifying the real incomes of the citizens. The president has also pointed out that including in the official documents the real incomes, and first of all, the received salary is a method of transferring more resources to the state budget, but first of all, it will ensure the right of each citizen to decent living standards. According to Voronin, the insufficient informing of the population regarding these problems allows businessmen to use the consent of the employee to offer a higher unofficial sum of money, to the detriment of ensuring him payments from the insurance budget. “Such an attitude toward the main resource of their business – the human resource – resembles an attitude toward an object: use, forget and throw away”, Voronin mentioned.
In this respect the head of the state pleaded in favour of performing as fast as possible a thorough analysis of the real payment funds and to adopt laws which would allow transparently paying the salaries.
