President Maia Sandu is paying an official visit to Warsaw at the invitation of her Polish counterpart Andrzej Duda on the occasion of the 30th anniversary of the establishment of Moldovan-Polish diplomatic relations, IPN reports.
“This evening, I am in Warsaw. I’m on a visit at the invitation of President Andrzej Duda, who is a good friend of our country, to mark the 30th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relates between the Republic of Moldovan and Poland. The visit offers me a good occasion for discussing with Mister President joint initiatives initiated by our countries, bilateral economic cooperation and our countries’ efforts to help Ukraine in the context of the war waged by Russia,” President Sandu posted on a social networking site on Thursday evening.
She thanked her Polish counterpart for the consistent support provided by Poland to Moldova’s European course. “Poland remains a reliable partner of Moldova with whom we want to further develop good cooperation relations,” noted Maia Sandu.
The official also discussed the advancing of the bilateral dialogue with the Marshal of the Polish Sejm Elżbieta Witek and the Marshal of the Polish Senate Tomasz Grodzki.
