The President of Moldova Maia Sandu transmitted a message of condolence in connection with the Indonesia plane crash that resulted in over 60 deaths, IPN reports.

“During these difficult times, please accept my and the Moldovan peoples’ profound feelings of compassion and solidarity with the people of Indonesia. Please transmit our sincere condolences to the relatives and close people of those who died,” runs Maia Sandu’s message sent to the President of Indonesia Joko Widodo.

The international press reported that the plane crashed shortly after taking off from Jakarta. It was heading for Pontianak in West Kalimantan and had 62 persons on board, at least 50 of whom were passengers. Indonesian rescue teams on January 10 localized the black boxes of the pane that plunged into the Java Sea.
