The President of Latvia Egils Levits will pay a visit to the Republic of Moldova on April 7. The Latvian official will have a meeting with President Maia Sandu, IPN reports.
The presidential press service said the meeting of the two heads of state will be followed by a joint news conference starting at 11am.
Since the start of the war in Ukraine, the Republic of Moldova was visited by a number of Presidents, including the President of Romania Klaus Iohannis, the President of Slovakia Zuzana Čaputová, the President of Switzerland Ignazio Cassis, the President of Poland Andrzej Duda, and the President of Estonia Alar Karis. In the period, visits to Moldova were also made by a number of European and American officials. UN High Commissioner for Refugees Filippo Grandi made his first ever visit to Moldova.
