The President of the German Bundestag Bärbal Bas is visiting the Republic of Moldova during July 12-13. She will have discussions with President Maia Sandu, Prime Minister Dorin Recean and Deputy Parliament Speaker Mihail Popșoi, IPN reports.
According to the Embassy of Germany, the goal of the visit is to get an impression of the fundamentally different security policy situation in the Republic of Moldova in the wake of Russia’s attack on Ukraine and of its consequences for the Republic of Moldova, including in the field of energy security and supply.
The President of the German Bundestag will exchange information on the spot about the progress on reforms made by the Republic of Moldova in the European integration process. Bärbal Bas will also discuss parliamentary cooperation instruments with representatives of the Parliament of the Republic of Moldova.
