President of European Commission to deliver public speech in Chisinau

Jose Manuel Barroso, the President of the European Commission will deliver a public speech in Chisinau when he visits Moldova later this month. The announcement was made on Wednesday by Ambassador Dirk Schuebel, Head of the EU Delegation to Moldova, Info-Prim Neo reports. The Ambassador told a press briefing that the President of the European Commission will take stock of the relations between Moldova and the European Union. Those willing to see and hear Jose Manuel Barroso's speech will be able to do so in a specially arranged place, which is yet to be announced. Jose Manuel Barroso will also meet with President Nicolae Timofti, Parliament Speaker Marian Lupu and Prime Minister Vlad Filat. This visit is a signal of encouragement for Moldova and an expression of how close the relationship between the EU and Moldova is, stated Dirk Schuebel. Jose Manuel Barroso will visit Chisinau on November 29 and 30.
