Filmmaker Pavel Balan and film director Lidia Panfil were awarded the Order of the Republic, which is the highest state award in Moldova. More than 50 people received different states awards from President Nicolae Timofti on September 16 in recognition of their special merits to the state, for long and prodigious work in different areas of activity and for professional skillfulness, IPN reports.
The award “Order of Honor” was presented to the director of the Independent Television Company “Mirador” of the public organization “Vidoinf” Ion Bujor, producer of the same company Larisa Eremia, founder of the cultural-historical society “Mihai Viteazul” of Ploiesti, Romania, Mircea Cosma and director general of the Agency for Land Relations and Cadaster Anatolie Ghilas.
Three employees of the Customs Service received the Order “Faith to the Homeland”, third class, while 12 persons working in different areas of activity were awarded the Order “Labor Glory”.
The others were handed over medals “Civic Merit”, “Mihai Eminescu” and “Nicolae Testemitanu” and the honorific titles of “People’s Artist”, “Master of Arts” and “Emeritus Person”.
