President Maia Sandu meets with Ambassador of Poland Bartłomiej Zdaniuk

President Maia Sandu at end-March sent a letter to the Polish authorities by which the presidential administration asked Poland to help the Republic of Moldova to get vaccines against COVID-19 either as donations or by purchasing them. This approach was discussed by President Sandu in a meeting with the Ambassador of Poland to Moldova Bartłomiej Zdaniuk today, IPN reports.

According to the presidential administration, the discussion between the two officials centered on the political and sanitary situation in the two countries, the economic cooperation and projects implemented at the level of the local public authorities and the vaccination process.

In this connection, Maia Sandu, in the name of all the citizens of the Republic of Moldova, thanked the Polish diplomat for the solidary shown by Poland since the start of the pandemic and for the assistance offered at bilateral level and within the EU’s initiative “Team Europe”.
