The President of France Emmanuel Macron was met at the State Residence in Chisinau by President Maia Sandu, in the presence of the Guard of Honor, IPN reports.
The two officials had pictures of them taken. After the bilateral discussions to which the press does not have access, Emmanuel Macron and Maia Sandu will make statements for journalists, starting at 3.45pm.
The two Presidents will make a visit to the French Alliance in Moldova and will have discussions with representatives of civil society.
On March 11, Moldova and France celebrated the 30th anniversary of the establishment of bilateral diplomatic relations.
