President Igor Dodon went to Istanbul to take part in the 25th Summit of Heads of State and Government of the Black Sea Economic Cooperation Organization, IPN reports.
According to the presidential press service, the agenda of the visit is complex and includes meetings with the President of Turkey Recep Tayyip Erdogan, President of Greece Prokopis Pavlopoulos, Vice President of Bulgaria Iliana Iotova, Prime Minister of Russia Dmitry Medvedev and other officials.
Igor Dodon flied to Istanbul on May 21. In the evening, he had a meeting with members of the Moldovan diaspora in Istanbul. “I had constructive meetings and discussions with the diaspora and with representatives of the business circle, many of whom run businesses in Moldova and want to continue to invest in our country,” the President wrote on his Facebook web page.
The President’s working visit to Turkey ends on May 23.
