President Igor Dodon is in Brussels for talks with NATO and EU officials

Developing economic cooperation with European partners, implementing reforms and regional security are some of the issues that Igor Dodon will discuss in Brussels. In a Facebook post, Igor Dodon writes that he is in the European Union capital, where, over the course of two days, he will meet with NATO, European Union and Belgian Senate officials.

"We will discuss the agenda of bilateral and multilateral relations with David-Maria Sassoli, President of the European Parliament; Federica Mogherini, EU High Representative for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy, Johannes Hahn, European Commissioner for Neighborhood Policy and Enlargement Negotiations; Jens Stoltenberg, NATO Secretary General and David McAllister, President of the Committee on Foreign Affairs of the European Parliament”, the president said.

Additionally, Igor Dodon writes that he will also have discussions with Maroš Šefčovič, Vice-President of the European Commission for the Energy Union, and Sabine Laruelle, the President of the Belgian Senate.

The president of Moldova states that, during the meetings, issues related to the implementation of reforms, the development of economic and trade cooperation with European partners, the energy agenda and regional security issues will be addressed.

Igor Dodon recalls that his last visit to the European Union capital was in February 2017.
