President Igor Dodon is paying a working visit to Bishkek, at the invitation of his Kyrgyz counterpart Almazbek Atambayev, starting with April 13. On April 14, Igor Dodon will take part in the meeting of the Presidents of the five member states of the Eurasian Economic Union, IPN reports.
In a posting on Facebook, President Dodon wrote that the agenda of the meeting includes the granting of the status of observer at the Eurasian Economic Union to the Republic of Moldova. During the visit, the Head of State will have a series of bilateral and multilateral meetings.
He also said the invitation was coordinated with the Presidents of the member states – Russia, Kazakhstan, Belarus, Armenia, and Kyrgyzstan.
This March, Igor Dodon has sent a letter to the Chairman of the Supreme Eurasian Economic Council Almazbek Atambayev, whereby he asked to initiate the procedure for granting Moldova the status of observer state at the Eurasian Economic Union.
