The President of Moldova Igor Dodon is paying a working visit to the Russian town Omsk during August 4-5. On a social networking site, Presdient Dodon wrote that the visit is made at the invitation of the governor of Omsk region Aleksandr Burkov, IPN reports.
The agenda of the visit includes attendance of events staged on the occasion of the Town Day, a meeting with the mayor of Omsk Oksana Fadina, the governor and businessmen of Omsk region and the Metropolitan of Omsk and Tavrichevsk Vladimir.
“For our country, the establishment of partnership relations with the Russian Federation and its regions is opportune. I’m convinced that our interaction with Omsk region will be a good example in this regard,” wrote Igor Dodon.
According to him, the meetings will center on the eventual cooperation between Omsk region and one of the districts of the Republic of Moldova.
