After meeting with Pirkka Tapiola on this occasion today, President Dodon wrote on his FB account: “I thanked the diplomat for his significant contribution to the development of the relationship between the Republic of Moldova and the European Union, and also for cooperation in implementing a number of projects in various areas of shared interest, initiated with the personal support of Mr. Ambassador. I also told Mr. Tapiola that he is one of te ambassadors who tried, and succeeded in eliminating geopolitics from our relationship. It was he who in 2015 conveyed to Brussels the message that Moldova should focus on reform rather than on slogans”.
