Victoria Iftodi was sworn in as a judge of the Constitutional Court in Parliament on May 12. The ceremony was attended by President of Moldova Igor Dodon and chairman of the Superior Council of Magistracy Victor Micu, IPN reports.
The Government named Victoria Iftodi as a Constitutional Court judge for a six-year term on May 3, as a result of a contest. Vitoria Iftodi replaces the Court’s president Alexandru Tanase, whose term in office expired.
Victoria Iftodi was minister of justice in the Tarlev Government in 2004-2006.
