President considered most corrupt in Moldova - poll

President Vladimir Voronin is considered the most corrupt person in Moldova, the Public Opinion Barometer (POB) finds. It was made public on Wednesday, November 30. According to the poll, 7.6% of the questioned persons consider that Voronin is the most corrupt. He is followed in this ranking by Serafim Urecheanu, Dumitru Braghis and Iurie Rosca. They are considered corrupt by 1.6% of the respondents. The ranking also includes the President’s son Oleg Voronin, Eduard Musuc, Vasile Tarlev etc. 1.4% of the respondents consider that the whole leadership of the Republic of Moldova is corrupt. Over 80% of the participants did not want to answer. Corruption is the most spread among policemen and custom workers, 76.4% of the questioned persons consider. They are followed by doctors, ministers and MPs. Journalists are the least affected by this phenomenon. 9.3% of the persons participating in the poll consider that the presence and development of corruption in Moldova is one of greatest failures of the present government, and 76% are displeased with the actions of the government as regards combating corruption.
