Moldovan President Vladimir Voronin assures Moldova will not be stricken by the world financial crisis, Info-Prim Neoreports. “We undertake all measures that Moldova and its citzens should not be affected by the financial crisis,” he told journalists on Tuesday after the session of the European Integration National Commission. “We are managing well so far, but we're very cautious. I can say today our citizens will not be affected as they deposit their money in Moldovan commercial banks and we'll carry on making efforts. We have consultations with the manager of the national banks, with companies. The relevant commission headed by the premier analyzes and predicts the future, every day,” he President added. However, Vladimir Voronin does not rule out that the crisis will touch on Moldova somehow. “There have been no danger so far. If some strong winds blow in some country somewhere, they can also be felt in Moldova a little. I do not rule that out those negative moments for large countries, which are the largest owners of finances,” he said. National and international experts say Moldova will not be spared by the effects of the financial crisis striking the most developed countries.
