Prime Minister Ion Chicu and President Igor Dodon are paying an official visit to the Republic of Turkey, at the invitation of the President of Turkey Recep Tayyip Erdoğan. The work agenda includes meetings with the President of Turkey, Speaker of the Grand National Assembly of Turkey Mustafa Șentop and bilateral meetings of the ministers, IPN reports.
In a posting on Facebook, President Dodon said he will chair the first meeting of the high-level Strategic Cooperation Council after which a number of bilateral agreements in different areas will be signed. These refer to the conversion and mutual recognition of driver’s licenses, combined international goods transport, cooperation in science and technology, etc.
“The Republic of Turkey is our strategic partner. The official visit to this country enables us to extend and strengthen the bilateral cooperation relations in all the areas of common interest to the benefit of both of the peoples,” stated Igor Dodon.
The delegation of the Republic of Moldova consists of Deputy Parliament Speaker Vlad Batrîncea, the Governor of ATU Gagauzia, ministers and other state officials.
