The Prime Minister of the Republic of Moldova Natalia Gavrilița and the Prime Minister of Romania Nicolae-Ionel Ciucă laid flowers at the monument to Ruler Stephan the Great and Holy in central Chisinau, IPN reports.
The officials walked along the Alley of Classical Writers in the Public Garden “Stephan the Great and Holy” up to the bust of poet Mihai Eminescu and laid flowers there too. Afterward, the two Premiers headed for the Palace of the Republic for the joint meeting of the governments of Moldova and Romania.
The sides are to sign a number of agreements, including an agreement on non-reimbursable financial assistance to the value of €100 million, an agreement on the building of a bridge between Ungheni in Moldova and Ungheni in Romania and an agreement on the reduction of roaming charges.
