Prime Minister Iurie Leanca thanked the people for taking part in the elections and doing their civil duty by stating their position on Moldova’s future, IPN reports.
“I thank those who supported our country’s European course for which we all pleaded, basing on the idea that there is no alternative to this course if we want to build a functional and prosperous state. To those who decided not to take part in the elections, those who were disappointed and thus showed their protest, I can tell one thing: their message was understood, even if an additional analysis and conclusions are yet needed. In general, dear colleagues, the message is very clear: the reforms can no longer be delayed because there will be no other such a vote and such a chance for our country,” stated the Premier in the opening of the Cabinet’s December 3 meeting.
Iurie Leanca noted that government is offered the last chance to reform the justice sector, to root out corruption and to show that the European institutions were right when they banked on the forces that said that the European integration is the only way for modernizing Moldova. “Dear citizens, this was done to improve the living conditions so that you do not face shortages, have salaries and pensions that can ensure the living your need. Let’s do so that the state of affairs in the country in two-three years to be absolutely different from the current situation,” he said.
