Prime Minister Pavel Filip requested to immediately investigate a case of use of violence against a child at a Chisinau kindergarten that was reported by the press, IPN reports.

The Premier instructed the Ministry of Education to organize a nationwide assessment of the treatment of children in early education institution so as to prevent and identify situations of risk, abuse, negligence or violence. As a result of the assessment, the competent authorities, in concert with representatives of parent associations, the academic community and civil society, will work out measures to prevent similar cases and will present them to the National Council for the Protection of Children’s Rights for approval within a month.

Rise.md reported that a boy who attends a kindergarten in Chisinau suddenly changed his behavior. The boy’s mother decided to find out what is going on. She equipped him with a recording device hidden in a watch and sent him to the kindergarten with this during several days. What she heard terrified her. Initially, the kindergarten’s director blamed the children and their parents, but after she listened to the recordings she admitted that cases of verbal aggression take place in the institution.
