Prime Minister Vlad Filat told the journalists no to worry because the Alliance for European Integration will not break up only because some of its members have dissenting opinions on certain issues. “Everyone has the right to opinion even if we formed an alliance. When we have different opinions, we discuss them and try to reach a consensus even if sometimes we have to appeal to the Constitutional Court,” he said, quoted by Info-Prim Neo. Vlad Filat was asked to comment on Speaker Mihai Ghimpu's challenge to the Constitutional Court, disputing the Government's decision to transfer the state-run company Special Telecommunications Center from the Security and Information Service to the executive. The transfer was explained by the necessity of establishing an e-Government and improving the institutional framework for special information and telecommunications systems. The executive considers that a first step towards improving the situation in the field is to create a governmental authority that will be responsible for ensuring the functionality and security of the special communications systems. "We will wait for the Constitutional Court's decision, but I think the decision made by the Government is correct. All the ministers, including those who represent the Liberal Party, were in favor of the transfer,” the Premier said. Asked if it was better to create a new institution non-affiliated to the executive that would have implemented the e-Government strategy, Vlad Filat said there are enough institutions and their work should be made more efficient.
