Premier to pay a series of important visits

Prime Minister Vlad Filat will pay a working visit to Poland where he will take part in the 21st Krynica Economic Forum on September 7-8, Info-Prim Neo reports. A conference to strengthen the measures aimed at building confidence between the banks of the Nistru River in the process of resolving the Transnistrian dispute will take place in Germany on September 8-9. It will bring together members of all the field working groups, representatives of the sides involved in the Transnistrian conflict settlement talks in the 5+2 format, and foreign experts. Vlad Filat said in Germany he will meet with the Transnistrian leader Igor Smirnov, with whom he will discuss a number of issues, including the restoration of the freight train routes and telephone connection between the banks of the Nistru. “I hope the conference and the bilateral discussion will enable us to resume the official talks in the 5+2 format on September 22,” said the Premier. Vlad Filat will also pay an official visit to Finland, Sweden and Norway during September 11-14.
