Prime Minister Chiril Gaburici, in the opening of the first meeting of the new Cabinet, said the Government starts work in a difficult period. That’s why its mission and responsibility is to identify solutions to overcome this situation and to improve the living conditions. The Premier enumerated several of the immediate priorities of the new Government, mentioning the normalization of the situation on the currency market among them, IPN reports.
“We discussed today this issue with the Head of Parliament and the governor of the National Bank. We agreed a plan of measures in the short and medium term. We decided to hold a meeting with representatives of banks on February 23 to see what can be done at practical level to take the situation under control,” stated Chiril Gaburici.
The Premier also spoke about the decline in exports, saying it will be an opportunity if Moldova obtains the right to export products of animal origin to the EU. The situation on the oil market will also be analyzed to see if the oil prices can be reduced. The presentation of the 2015 draft budget law is another priority.
Chiril Gaburici said the possibility of signing a new memorandum of cooperation should be discussed with the IMF. He noted that a preferential tax could be introduced for the entrepreneurs that will want to pay taxes beforehand.
