Premier Vasile Tarlev has launched a contest for the cleanest cemetery. At the Government Wednesday’s meeting, the Prime Minister requested the ministries of Local Public Administration, of Ecology and Natural Resources, of Interior Affairs, of Health and the State Ecologic Inspectorate to mobilize the local authorities, the decentralized services in the territory, economic entities and population to clean up all the cemeteries.
The contest was launched after the Premier had requested in March the local authorities to clean up the settlements and refit the cemeteries, finding that the undertaken actions were not enough.
Minister of Local Public Administration Vitalie Vrabie told reporters that in order to designate the winner the authorities will inspects all the cemeteries. As the minister says, most of the cemeteries were cleaned up, while the Premier’s announcement was made to draw the local authorities’ attention to this aspect.
The value of the prize for the winner was not announced. The Prime Minister said that the money will be allocated from the Ecologic Fund or from other sources.
