Moldova will see economic growth next year, although slower, Premier Zinaida Greceanai told as news conference on Tuesday. “The IMF, the mission of which to Moldova, ended on Monday, assesses the growth will be 3.6 %. The IMF has never been too optimistic in making forecasts. The measures undertaken to insure the stability and the results this year allow us to believe the growth percentage will be higher,” Greceanai is quoted by Info-Prim Neo as saying. She says the GDP in the first nine months recorded a 7.6% growth: 3.3% – in quarter 1 , 6.2% – in quarter 2 and 10.1% in quarter 3. The Prime-Minister says the inflation was in November 8.5% and is further dropping, explained by her by the measures undertaken by the Government and the Central Bank in this respect, and through the world conjuncture: dropping prices of food and oil. The investments in the Moldovan economy hiked 70% this year exceeding 2.2 billion lei. Plus 1.5 billion lei from the undistributed tax of companies, given the zero tax quota. Greceanai says the unemployed was 3.8% in Q3, compared to 5.3% year on year.
