Premier Filip in Taraclia: We will continue reforms so as to accumulate money and make investments

The central authorities’ increased attention to the problems faced in communities and the readiness to have a constructive dialogue for overcoming these were reiterated in a common meeting of the members of the Cabinet and representatives of the local authorities of Taraclia district. Prime Minister Pavel Filip said the governmental team will travel itself to the 26 communities of the district and will make effort to find the most efficient formulas for modernizing the region, IPN reports, with reference to the Government’s press service.

“We set the goal of intervening based on a new format so as to deal with the difficulties you experience. There are a lot of speculations and it is thus important to have open and permanent communication with you,” stated Pavel Filip.

The Premier restated that the executive’s activity has been centered on the priority directions for developing the country, such as ensuring of economic growth, improvement of the business climate and doing of reforms with a major impact on the citizens. “The reforms will be continued as we need to accumulate a solid budget that would enable us to make investments, including social ones,” stated Pavel Filip.

In the meeting, representatives of the local authorities of Taraclia district proposed extending the program for improving the infrastructure and underlined a number of areas that necessitate the Government’s assistance, such as the financing of education institutions, overcoming of the shortage of teaching staff, teaching of the Romania and Bulgarian languages in preschool institutions, revision of the pay system for public sector personnel, provision of the schools and kindergartens with food products of a high quality. It was also underlined the necessity of repairing the school in Aluatu village for which the Government has already allocated 300,000 lei.

In this connection, Pavel Filip reiterated that many of the mentioned problems are in the authorities’ focus and asked the competent institutions to intervene in each case apart, according to their areas of responsibility, so as to find solutions to them.
