The electricity supplier Premier Energy recommends the citizens calculate the subsidy for power themselves. The size of the state subsidy can be determined with the help of the calculator that is available on the company’s website. One needs to introduce the consumer place number, the period, the energy vulnerability level decided by the Government and the regulated electricity charge, IPN reports.

Premier Energy warns that the calculation formula is valid for household users only. In accordance with the Government decision of November 23, 2022, subsidies for November 1-3, 2022 were not provided as the regulated price was lower than the subsidized price.

Subsidies were offered for November 4-30, 2022 and were included in the bills issued in December 2022, keeping the maximum amounts subsidized for November 2022:

-1000 kWh – for users that use electricity as the main source of heating;
-75 kWh – for users that do not use electricity as the main source of heating.

Today, the National Agency for Energy Regulation, following requests to adjust the charges made by the two suppliers, decided that as from January 1, 2023, household users powered by Premier Energy will pay 3.42 lei/kWh, by 1.20 lei/kWh less than at present, while those served by Furnizarea Energiei Electrice Nord SA will pay 3.48 lei/kWh, down 81 lei/kWh from the current price.
