Premier demands transparency in investment projects

Prime Minster Vlad Filat instructed the Ministry of Economy to present the additional protocol concerning the investments made in the Giurgiulesti Free International Port. “I don’t know why this document wasn’t published in the Official Gazette and why it is kept secret,” the Premier said in the September 21 meeting of the Government, Info-Prim Neo reports. “I do not have suspicions that this document hasn’t been fulfilled, but it should be made public so as to avoid erroneous interpretations and rumors,” Vlad Filat said, addressing Deputy Minister of Economy Octavian Calmic, who in the meeting replaced Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Economy Valeriu Lazar, who is on a visit to Poland. The Premier demanded ensuring transparency in the implementation of investment projects, especially those that are very important for the country’s economy and the people.
