Prime Minister Vlad Filat repeatedly ordered that the Ministry of Economy and the Public Property Agency provide information about the members of the administration boards of state-run companies and companies in which the state owns stocks, Info-Prim Neo reports.
The Premier made the request after he was informed that servants of ministries and their subdivisions form part of 4-8 boards and are paid for this. Vlad Filat said he possesses information that a government official received 4.5% of a company’s profit, but did not give details about this person.
“It is strange when the deductions and dividends of the companies owned by the state or in which the state has holdings total 300 million lei. It is also worrisome when companies that make investments of 1 billion lei report low profits,” said the Prime Minister.
A week ago, Vlad Filat instructed that the composition of the administration boards of state-run companies be made public, but the order was not obeyed.
