The Party “Dignity and Truth Platform” (PPPDA) commits itself to promote the strategic partnership with the European Union, especially with Romania, with which the party aims to implement many sustainable projects. Moldova’s integration into the EU is possible only through Romania, which with an “intelligent union” will be forged, by deeds, the party’s leader Andrei Năstase said in a news conference, presenting the party’s foreign policy commitment, IPN reports.

Andrei Năstase noted that a serious partnership with the EU will be possible only through a Government consisting of members of the PPPDA and the Party of Action and Solidarity.

PPPDA vice president Igor Munteanu said the Moldovan citizens only gained from Moldova’s rapprochement with the EU. When the Republic of Moldova distanced itself from the European Union, thefts of billions of lei were committed and different kleptocratic groups appeared. The party is also for developing the strategic dialogue with the U.S. and for a strategic partnership with Ukraine.

PPPDA candidate for MP Vasile Năstase said that Moldova’s integration into the EU is possible only through Romania with which they aim to initially sign an interstate brotherhood agreement. The party will promote common electricity and agricultural markets with Romania, a single insurance area, a single customs department with Romania, European-level mobile phone charges, creation of a national fund for urban development, the founding of the Romanian Volunteer Agency by the model of the U.S. Peace Corps, creation of funds for the development of small and medium-sized businesses, setting up of a chain of modern libraries and other projects with Romania.

According to Vasile Năstase, the PPPDA’s foreign policy commitment was discussed with civil society. Iana Stanțieru, who is in charge of relations with the diaspora within the party, is currently in Brussels.
