The Party “Dignity and Truth Platform” (PPPDA) requests to immediately convoke the Supreme Security Council so that it provides information about the kidnapping of an employee of the Florești Police Inspectorate by the Transnistrian forces. In connection with this case, the party seeks the immediate resignation of Minister of the Interior Pavel Voicu and director of the Security and Intelligence Service (SIS) Alexandru Esaulenko, IPN reports.

“Otherwise, the parliamentary group of the PPPDA will demand to immediately convene the Parliament’s Standing Bureau and the legislature’s sitting so as to examine the motion against the minister of the interior and the vote of no confidence against the SIS,” the party’s leader Andrei Năstase told a news conference.

According to him, the lack of reaction on the part of the Ministry of the Interior and the minister, of the SIS director and, especially, of the President, who heads the Supreme Security Council, to a national security and personal issue of the Moldovan citizens shows that the responsible institutions of the state lack authority and are completely nonfunctional.

An office of the Florești Police Inspectorate was kidnapped from the yard of his house in Camenca town of the Transnistrian region in the morning of October 7. The Prosecutor General’s Office said legal action was taken over kidnaping of a person and usurpation of the official quality by employees of the militia of the self-proclaimed Transnistrian republic.
