The MPs of the Party “Dignity and Truth Platform” (PPPDA) filed a new simple motion against the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and European Integration. The party’s vice president Alexandru Slusari made a relevant approach to the Parliament’s Standing Bureau, IPN reports.
According to the PPPDA, the position and statements of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and European Integration go against the history, reality and Constitution of the state.
“The Ministry of Foreign Affairs, in the person of the minister, dared to make irresponsible statements about domestic policy aspects. The minister stated his stance on the Nistru conflict in a condemnable manner. We note that the Transnistrian region is a component part of the Republic of Moldova and the foreign affairs minister’s involvement, in a defiant manner, with anti-constitutional statements, in this issue can be regarded as indirect admission that the Transnistrian region with its so-called authorities form part of the foreign policy area,” runs a press statement issued by the party.
The PPPDA accuses the current administration of the country of mimicking the integration into the European Union, with considerable regression being actually witnessed.
The MPs ask to question the minister about his position on the events of 1992 and the foreign policy concerning the European integration. They also seek explanations about the Republic of Moldova’s position on the Transnistrian issue and, implicitly, on the Nistru conflict at international level.
The first simple motion against the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and European Integration was submitted by the PPPDA MPs on February 13. The Parliament’s Standing Bureau didn’t accept it into legislative procedure. In protest, the MPs blocked the legislature’s rostrum.
