The Party “Dignity and Truth Platform” (PPPDA) requests to call together the Parliament’s Standing Bureau so that this decides on the resumption of the meetings of the permanent commissions and on the initiation of discussions on the organization of the next plenary sitting of the legislative body. An application to this effect was submitted to the Parliament’s Secretariat, IPN reports.

“The population’s expectations of the MPs are bigger than of the other government officials. We were elected by the people and daily have hundreds of appeals from the people and are obliged to work in this difficult period, surely by more than exemplarily implementing all the protection measures,” PPPDA vice president Alexandru Slusari posted on Facebook.

In the last sitting held by Parliament on March 17, it was decided that the legislature and the parliamentary commissions will be convoked only in an emergency, following relevant decisions taken by the Commission for Exceptional Situations.
