The candidate for mayor of Chisinau of the Party “Platform Dignity and Truth”(PPPDA) Andrei Nastase said he will conduct a campaign to attract local and foreign investment for developing infrastructure, increasing the efficiency of public services and strengthening the institutional capacity of the municipality. In his electoral program, the candidate says he will launch a program of grants intended for entrepreneurs from the suburban settlements and from the sector of small and medium-sized businesses.
The candidate promises to support the investors and the business community and to de-bureaucratize the administration. Furthermore, he aims to create, together with entrepreneurs, the conditions needed to maximally realize the human potential and to attract highly qualified human resources with emphasis on the development of high competence among young entrepreneurs.
Andrei Nastase pledges to ensure infrastructure for industrial parks and business development centers and to launch a Chisinau Cluster 2023 Platform. He intends to create online public registers of the documents issued by the municipal public administration, providing thus the people with information about the procedures and documents needed to initiate particular activities or projects and to access services.
The candidate also promises to introduce financial instruments for stimulating cooperation between the City Hall, the academic community and the private sector, pursuing the goal of absorbing technologies and knowledge so as to solve the practical problems of the municipality and to stimulate knowledge-based economic growth. Among other objectives are to implement the mechanism for co-financing public infrastructure projects and to apply competitive dialogue procedures (solution bidding) to ensure authentic competition in the allocation of the limited public resources.
Andrei Nastase pledges to introduce stimuli for entrepreneurs that create inclusive jobs for persons with special needs and to provide the assistance needed in implementing social responsibility programs and developing social entrepreneurship. He also intends to plan the spaces within green areas so as to enable to harmoniously develop commercial activities intended for visitors.
