Dignity and Truth Platform Political Party submitted to the General Prosecutor's Office a request to cancel the ordinance dated July 8, by which it refused to investigate the financing of the PSRM with sources from the Russian Federation. At a press conference, Andrei Nastase said that "the ordinance of July 8 should be viewed as a consequence of the barter between Igor Dodon and Vladimir Plahotniuc, so that both of them would avoid criminal liability and dismiss their cases started on criminal charges," reports IPN.

Andrei Nastase mentioned that, when it was requested to check the sources of funding of the PSRM, the recordings of the discussion between the President of the Republic of Moldova, Igor Dodon, and the former leader of the PDM Vladimir Plahotniuc, MP at the time, were attached to the materials of the case.

According to the PPPDA leader, "the ordinance of July 8 is void, because it violates legal provisions". Furthermore, "in order to carry out a criminal investigation concerning the President of the Republic of Moldova and a member of the Parliament of the Republic of Moldova, it was imperative that the Prosecutor General be directly involved".

Andrei Năstase also said that "the procedural actions on which the contested ordinance was based showed a total dereliction of the duties imposed by law on the prosecutor and the criminal prosecution body, which consisted in conducting a thorough, objective investigation of all aspects and circumstances of the case".

According to the recordings to which refers Andrei Nastase, the PSRM, a party led by Igor Dodon until he was elected president, has been funded by the Russian Federation with almost 700 thousand dollars a month.
