The National Political Council of the Party “Dignity and Truth Platform” (PPDA) that convened on November 13 gave full political support to Dinu Plîngău, the current acting president of the party, for competing for the party’s leadership, IPN reports, with reference to the party’s press service.

Initially, the source announced the Council’s decision to hold the congress where to also elect the party’s president on February 27 next year. But the same source later issued a rectified press release saying that given the pandemic situation in the country, the party’s supreme body will come together on March 20, 2022.

PPDA is also preoccupied with the union of all the authentic, democratic, competent, civic and political extraparliamentary forces with healthy expertise and views. For the purpose, the National Political Council of the party decided to designate a team led by the founding president of the party Andrei Năstase, empowering this to negotiate with national and foreign political parties.

The party’s Council considers the actions of the current government are much below the citizens’ expectations and significantly deviate from the electoral promises, primarily in the fields of justice, the energy system, the just regulation of prices and the population’s incomes, combating of monopolies, support for national producers, ensuring of the freedom of the media, decentralization, environmental protection, etc. In particular, it was underlined the insufficiency of transparency and efficient communication on the part of government institutions.

As to the party’s construct, the Council anticipated eventual statutory and doctrinaire changes that are to be debated before the congress and during this.
