Christian democrat councillors, who had voted in the Municipal Council Session on November 30 for the reorganization via alienation of the municipal radio and TV stations “Antena C” and “Euro TV Chisinau”, had a meeting with the staff of “Antena C”, Info-Prim Neo reports. The meeting was held on Friday evening, following the City Hall session, attended by the staffs, the City Hall leadership and a number of councillors.
Director of Antena C, Vasile State, told Info-Prim Neo that the leader of the PPCD faction, Alexandru Corduneanu, and the councillor Eugenia Starcea, who presided the session in which the liquidation was been decided, came to the station’s office in the evening, when a part of the staff had already left. The guests stated that they didn’t plan to organize a “show” and this is why they decided to meet the members of the staff personally.
Vasile State says that they didn’t reach any agreement during the meeting. Representatives of the station’s personnel insisted on their right to continue the activity of the station, by creating either a Limited liability company or an NGO. The PPCD councillors, on the other hand, insisted on the procedure of liquidation via alienation. State says that he didn’t really get the reason of the visit, given that both sides remained on the positions they had earlier. “I think they wanted to re-establish their image, after they missed the session held several hours before. I cannot see another reason. They were not open to a compromise. Why did they come, then?” said Vasile State.
The manager added that a round table will be organized next week, gathering councillors, experts and representatives of the diplomatic missions in order to develop a wider discussion on this issue.
Solicited by Info-Prim Neo, the councillor Eugenia Starcea stated that PPCD faction didn’t want to participate in the common session during that day because they considered it useless. She avoided the expression “liquidation via alienation”, affirming that it is just a station’s reorganization which is discussed.
Starcea asserts that the meeting with the members of the Antena C staff was decided in order to hear their opinion, the problems they face, what would be the common agreement they could reach. She says that the conclusion drawn by the two PPCD councillors was that there is someone who aims to destabilize the situation, and who seeks a personal interest with this destabilization.
The Christian democrat councillor failed to say what will be the position of PPCD in the extraordinary session on December 14. The situation is to be analyzed, she said.
The mayor Vasile Ursu stated that PCRM and PPCD councillors did not join the session because they reserved their right to ignore the position of that councillor who did not vote for the decision of reorganization via alienation on November 30.
