The Commission for Exceptional Situations entrusted the Public Property Agency with the task of initiating direct negotiations with international legal and financial companies that would audit the accounts of Moldovagaz and will determine its debts to Gazprom and Factoring Finance, IPN reports.

According to the relevant decision taken by the Commission on July 13, the Public Property Agency will sign an independent audit services contract so as to determine the debts of SA Moldovagaz for the gas supplied to consumers on the right side of the Nistru by holding negotiations without publishing a participation notice beforehand. The Agency will also present the public procurement contract signed with the economic operator that will be chosen as the winner within 24 hours of the signing of the contract.

For its part, the Public Property Agency said that it will immediately open negotiations so that the audit could be conducted by the end of this year. “The rerun procedure is based on specifications reviewed based on the recommendations received from expert companies that expressed interest in taking part in the previous tender contest announced in January, which was annulled because the time limit for the delivery of the result expired,” stated the Agency.

At the beginning of June, the procurement group of the Public Property Agency decided to annul the tender contest for the selection of audit services because the period for the presentation of the audit result that is stipulated in the contract with Gazprom expired.
